Our background and experience creates the lens through which we see, interpret and judge the world. Our natural tendency is to see the world as we are, not as it is. Unconscious biases can compromise diversity and inclusion efforts, but by learning how to identify and confront unconscious bias in yourself and others, it is possible to mitigate the impact and promote respect for all groups.

The UA College of Medicine – Phoenix Office of Diversity and Inclusion will offer the AAMC/Cook Ross Everyday Bias Workshop for the Health Care Professions. The two hour workshop is open to all students, faculty and staff.
