It is our distinct privilege to announce this year’s recipients of the College of Medicine – Phoenix Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) award. The students were selected by their peers and a student committee for their demonstration of humanism over the past 2½ years.

In addition, the GHHS Class Of 2024 and 2025 students selected three faculty and six residents as inductees into the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society. These faculty and residents exemplify humanism and have served as role models for the students in this regard.

While it is common to assess students by their grades in courses, blocks and board exams, we wish to equally emphasize the importance of humanistic qualities such as empathy, compassion, respect, altruism and integrity. We are proud of each of our student’s accomplishment. These 16 students, three faculty and six residents are being recognized for extraordinary humanism.
