Each year, the incoming class of medical students go on a three-day, two-night retreat in Northern Arizona that focuses on establishing early skills for student well-being, diversity, leadership and professionalism. The camp is led by Student Affairs staff, faculty and second-year medical students. The retreat helps to promote early bonding between the class and also provides an opportunity to set new students up for success even before they step on campus.
