Summer High School Student Internship Program
The goal of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) summer internship program is to offer high school students an opportunity to participate in hypothesis-driven research and to interact with graduate students, postdoctoral associates and faculty in the Department of BMS. Students will work in an interdisciplinary environment that fosters critical and analytical thinking, while also allowing intellectual adventure. In addition, students will be encouraged to explore their career goals and will be guided in ways to achieve them. Learn more.
BMS provides an outstanding multi-disciplinary setting for post-graduate education and training. Faculty in BMS actively participate in the Clinical Translational Science Graduate Program at the University of Arizona along with the Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microbiology and Neuroscience Graduate Programs at Arizona State University. Our research laboratories are also the training grounds for UA College of Medicine – Phoenix medical students, as well as undergraduate students from the ASU Tempe, Downtown Phoenix and West campuses. Prospective students are encouraged to learn more about these programs below and to contact BMS Faculty and inquire about training opportunities in their laboratories.
