The Orthopaedics and Spine Institute at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix provides complete musculoskeletal care with specialty programs that offer surgeries and therapies for: neck and back issues, hand and upper extremity problems, arthritis and joint discomfort, sports medicine and concussion care, specialized orthopaedic trauma and fracture management, as well as bone health for osteoporosis and fracture prevention.

The Hand and Upper Extremity Center, a division of the Orthopaedics and Spine Institute at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, utilizes advanced techniques to treat and repair all hand, wrist and elbow injuries in order to restore the function and comfort for our patients. Our center provides onsite imaging, in-house certified hand therapists and board-certified surgeons specializing in hand, wrist and elbow surgery.

Banner Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center opened the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center on September 26, 2011, on the campus of Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.

Dignity Division of Hand Surgery and Elective Orthopaedics

Dignity Health Medical Group Orthopaedic Department is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases that affect bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. The Orthopaedic Department provides 24-hour coverage for all orthopaedic problems, including inpatient consultations, emergency department coverage and around-the-clock orthopaedic trauma coverage. The outpatient clinic is dedicated to the management of elective, urgent and emergent orthopaedic conditions.

CORE Institute Office – Peoria

This 13,000 square-foot office has 21 exam rooms staffed by four front desk personnel, six medical assistants, three physician assistants and five physicians. The presence of physician assistants will help with the flow of the office and limit clerical work on the part of the fellow. The office is equipped with electronic medical records (EMR) and digital imaging capabilities. This office sees an average of 2,319 patients per month.

CORE Institute Office – Mesa

This 5,400 square-foot office has 10 exam rooms staffed by two front desk personnel, two medical assistants, two physician assistants and eight physicians. The presence of physician assistants will help with the flow of the office and limit clerical work on the part of the fellow. The office is equipped with electronic medical records (EMR) and digital imaging capabilities. This office sees an average of 1,406 patients per month. It also has an additional attached 2,900 square-foot facility for physical therapy.

CORE Institute Office – Gilbert

This 12,300 square-foot office has 16 exam rooms staffed by four front desk personnel, six medical assistants, one physician assistants and 10 physicians. The presence of physician assistants will help with the flow of the office and limit clerical work on the part of the fellow. The office is equipped with electronic medical records (EMR) and digital imaging capabilities. This office sees an average of 1,406 patients per month. It also has an additional attached 5,700 square-foot facility for physical therapy.

Banner Children’s Specialist Pediatric Plastic Surgery and Children’s Rehabilitative Services Clinic

Both clinics have three exam rooms staffed by four medical assistants, two registered nurses and one physician assistant. The presence of physician assistants will help with the flow of the office and limit clerical work on the part of the fellow.
