Banner Thunderbird Medical Center houses 561 beds, has 2500 employees and approximately 1,042 physicians on the medical staff. In 2012, there were 85,755 visits to the ER, 53,685 outpatient visits and 33,380 inpatient admissions.
In Arizona, Mayo Clinic serves more than 90,000 patients each year with an integrated, team-based approach. The clinical practice is focused on adult specialty and surgical care in more than 65 medical and surgical disciplines, supported by outstanding programs in medical education and research. The Scottsdale campus, which opened in 1987, includes the Mayo Clinic Building, the Samuel C. Johnson Research Building and the Mayo Clinic Collaborative Research Building.
