The Translational Neurotrauma Research Program was established in 2012 under the directorship of Jonathan Lifshitz, PhD. Scientists at all levels, including faculty, resident, post-doctoral fellow, medical student, graduate student, undergraduate and high-school, train and conduct research towards understanding and treating Neurotrauma conditions.

Experiments and studies are conducted in open-space collaborative laboratories, with access to state-of-the-art molecular, electrochemical, behavioral and anatomical technology unique to valley. Ongoing projects involve active collaborations with Phoenix VA Health Care System, Arizona State University, Banner Sun Health, Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), and others across the country and around the world. This “Research Program Without Walls” helps to unite biomedical science across Arizona and beyond with a focus on translating scientific findings into the clinic to benefit our patients.
