Allison Otu, MBA

Allison Otu, MBA, was recently named executive director of Corporate and Community Relations in the Office of Communications at the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS). She previously served as the senior director for Marketing and Communications at the College of Medicine – Phoenix. In that role, she was pivotal in helping to shape the strategic and creative direction of the College of Medicine – Phoenix, as well as its brand management, community outreach and public affairs.

Guadalupe Federico, PhD

Guadalupe Federico, PhD, is assistant dean, Faculty Affairs and Career Development at the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix. She is also assistant professor of Medicine for the Colleges of Medicine – Phoenix and Tucson. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she received a bachelor’s degree in political science, as well as master’s and doctoral degrees in higher education with a focus on career aspirations and one’s self-efficacy. Brigham Willis, MD

Brigham Willis, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Child Health and a staff physician in the cardiac intensive care unit at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Dr. Willis has always maintained a strong interest in medical education throughout his career and recently completed a master's degree in Higher Education at Arizona State University.

Eric vanSonnenberg, MD

Eric vanSonnenberg, MD, is a career and professional advisor with the College of Medicine – Phoenix and an interventional radiologist. He has mentored well over 100 medical students, aiding them with their projects and publications. Over the course of his career, he has played a role in the publishing of approximately 500 original manuscripts, chapters and books.
 

Dude Coudret, MSEd

Dude Coudret, MSEd, is a Student Development learning specialist at the College of Medicine – Phoenix. In this role, he consults with medical students to develop individualized learning plans and coaches them on their academic, personal and professional development.

Cheryl O'Malley, MD, is the associate dean for Graduate Medical Education. In addition, she has been program director for the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix Internal Medicine Residency Program since 2008. Brenda Shinar, MD

Brenda Shinar, MD, is a clinical assistant professor and associate program director of the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix Internal Medicine Residency Program. Her clinical practice is in academic hospital medicine at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Dr. Shinar is the perennial winner of the Internal Medicine Residency teaching award.
