“If you survive, promise me one thing … that you are going to be a mensch.” — Mr. Bialywlos (father of Alexander White, MD)

For Alexander (Bialywlos) White, MD, his father’s last words would become his life’s purpose — and the reason he became a physician. The only member of his family to survive the Holocaust, Dr. White dedicated his life to fulfilling his father’s charge to be a person of integrity and honor. A mensch.

The experiences shaped through war became inspiration to turn tragedy into purpose. After surviving two concentration camps, childhood friends helped add him to Schindler’s List — number 269.

Please join David Beyda, MD, and Dr. White as they discuss what it means to take care of and care about patients as a physician.
