Native Know-How: Understanding How to Work and Partner with Native Nations

The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will sponsor a three-hour seminar facilitated by the Native Nations Institute.

The three-hour online training (split into two 90 minute sessions) is designed to promote a better understanding of the culture and governments of Native Americans and Native nations to create thriving working relationships and partnerships. The seminar leads participants through three key areas:

  1. Knowing and understanding tribal sovereignty.
  2. Gaining a basic awareness of tribal governments and governance.
  3. Identifying ways that participants might work or partner with Native nations.

Seminar Details

The seminar is scheduled for June 14 and 15, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The link will prompt registrants with basic registration information, preliminary questions and then will provide a follow-up email with an iCalendar link to add the event to their calendar. Fifty seats are available on a first-come/first-serve basis. This is open to all students, staff, faculty, residents, fellows, postdocs and alumni.
