American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) – AMWA is an organization which functions at the local, national and international level to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health. This is achieved by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring and strategic alliances. AMWA membership is comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, health care professionals and supporters. AMWA is the oldest multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health.
American Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP) – AMHP is a non-profit organization with an outreach of health professionals and students working to leverage the educational background and skills of Muslims in the health care sector to improve the health of Americans.
Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) – AACHC is the Primary Care Association (PCA) for the State of Arizona. All states have one designated PCA to advance the expansion of the Health Center Program and advocate for the health care interests of the medically underserved and uninsured.
Arizona Latin American Medical Association (ALMA) – ALMA is committed to increasing the number of Latino health care professionals through mentorship programs and scholarship awards, providing preventive medical care and education through health clinics around the state of Arizona, providing access to lower cost, quality health care to uninsured and underinsured families.
Association of American Indian Physicians (AAIP) – AAIP was founded in 1971 as an educational, scientific and charitable non-profit corporation. The primary goal was, and remains, to improve the health of American Indian and Alaskan Natives. Its mission today is to pursue excellence in Native American health care by promoting education in the medical disciplines, honoring traditional healing principles and restoring the balance of mind, body and spirit.
Catholic Medical Association (CMA) – The Catholic Medical Association is a physician-led community of health care professionals that informs, organizes and inspires its members, in steadfast fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church, to uphold the principles of the Catholic faith in the science and practice of medicine.
Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA) – CMDA is made up of the Christian Medical Association and the Christian Dental Association. Membership consists of physicians, dentists and other allied health professionals. Members of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations are from various political and religious movements, such as evangelicalism, in addition to several Christian denominations, including Anglicans, Lutherans, Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians and the Orthodox.
GLMA Health Professionals Advancing LGBT Equality – Health Professionals Advancing LGBT Equality (previously known as the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association) is the world's largest and oldest association of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health care professionals with the mission of ensuring equality in health care for LGBT individuals and health care professionals.
Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) – The mission of IMANA is to provide a forum and resource for Muslim physicians and other health care professionals, to promote a greater awareness of Islamic medical ethics and values among Muslims and the community-at-large, to provide humanitarian and medical relief and to be an advocate in health care policy.
National Hispanic Medical Association – The National Hispanic Medical Association is a non-profit association representing the interests of licensed Hispanic physicians in the United States and improve the health of Hispanic populations.
National Medical Association (NMA) – Founded in 1895, NMA is a national professional organization for African American physicians. A leading force for parity in medicine, it provides educational programs and conducts outreach efforts.
