Overview

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix provides comprehensive care for pregnant patients in a manner that promotes diversity, community, collaboration, integrity, innovation, excellence and leadership.

Our comprehensive curriculum will encompass all facets of maternal-fetal medicine and will include weekly didactics, monthly fetal boards, neonatal/pediatric subspecialty conferences and quarterly journal clubs. Rotations include inpatient services and outpatient clinic, as well as ICU rotations in critical care and the NICU. There is a fellow high-risk clinic, where fellows will learn to function as a maternal-fetal medicine attending with residents, sonographers and staff. We offer 12 months of protected research time with the opportunities in both basic science and clinical research. The fellow will receive specialty training in acute care, labor and delivery, operating room, prenatal diagnosis and diagnostic testing.

The goal of our fellowship is to help identify, cultivate and nurture each learner’s special interest for the mastery of the skills needed to become a leader in maternal-fetal medicine.
