The Research Senate is proud to announce the First Friday – Trainee Seminar Series.

What is It?

The Trainee Seminar Series is intended to provide opportunities for oral presentation experience with feedback, advice and mentorship toward developing exceptional oral presentation styles by the UArizona research community. This seminar series is for all Phoenix Biomedical Campus-affiliated trainees to present their latest research and/or practice national presentations — sessions, poster talks, data blitz or other verbal communications.

A student moderator will introduce the speaker and facilitate questions, similar to chairing a session at a national conference. There will be the opportunity to receive written and verbal feedback/advice/mentorship from faculty following the presentation and at the subsequent Happy Hour.

What to expect?

The seminars will start at 3:30 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Speakers can choose the length of their talks — between 10-30 minutes, including a five-minute Q&A session. More than three speakers can present per seminar, as long as the talks and Q&A do not exceed 90 minutes.

Questions: Please contact either Theresa Currier Thomas, PhD, or Ron Hammer, PhD, with questions. To attend virtually, please register via Zoom.
