Rebecca Fisher, PhD, interim chair of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences and director of the Gross Anatomy Laboratory at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, has been announced as the recipient of the Excellence in Diversity Equity and Inclusion Award from the American Association for Anatomy (AAA). The award recognizes a member of the AAA who creates inclusive teams representing the rich diversity of the communities they serve. She will be recognized during the AAA's annual meeting in Washington D.C., which take place March 25–27.

Founded in 2007, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix inspires and trains exemplary physicians, scientists and leaders to optimize health and health care in Arizona and beyond.
