The International Society for Cardiovascular Translation Research (ISCTR) has partnered with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and Dignity Health’s St. Joseph’s Hospital to further facilitate the transition of medical advances from bench to beside.

This partnership will fuel the creation of a Translational Research Curriculum, which will support and provide a platform for medical product development. Moreover, this program will revolutionize the way researchers envisage the commercialization process and how they bring their products to market.

With the current process of getting a new biotech product to market ranging from 7 to 17 years, Stuart D. Flynn, MD, former Dean of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, and Nabil Dib, MD, MSc, FACC, ISCTR President and a researcher/faculty member of the college, formed this partnership to help alleviate some of that wait time — a move that would increase a patient’s quality of life and chance of survival.
