Students can receive medical care through the Arizona State University NP Healthcare-Downtown clinic. This clinic accepts most major health insurance policies, including the Arizona Board of Regents Aetna Student Health policy purchased by the majority of our students. Services offered include the following:

  • Acute care services offered by family physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Routine well care, including immunizations and preventive care.
  • Well-woman examinations with referral to a sister facility about one mile away for colonoscopy.
  • On-site office laboratory for CLIA waved testing.
  • Phlebotomy blood and urine sample collection for offsite laboratory testing.
  • Blood and body fluid exposure acute counseling, testing, treatment and follow up.

Students with the school sponsored health policy can also access ASU Health Services which is located on the ASU Tempe campus.

Students who have acute illness while on clinical experiences at off-campus sites will be directed to the most appropriate health care facility, taking into account the nature of the problem, the acuteness of need, and the insurance coverage.
