Arizona Center for Simulation and Experiential Learning
The Arizona Center for Simulation and Experiential Learning is an educational facility dedicated, in every sense, to be a resource for all of Arizona - fulfilling a mission to continually improve health care through education, research and clinical care. This is accomplished by offering our students truly experiential innovative and immersive simulation education.
Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art interdisciplinary medical education and research through the use of multimodal simulation; thus reducing medical errors and improving the quality of care, which will positively affect the residents of the State of Arizona and beyond.
Emphasizing technique, compassion and effective communication combined with the evolving world of medical technology, the center provides students with a wide-range of simulations, skill trainers and new technologies, which supplements their classroom learning with comprehensive clinical exposure, feedback and evaluation that enhance individual and team skills before encountering patients.
Students at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix and Northern Arizona University physician assistant program will be immersed into a truly multi-model simulation experience. We combine state-of-the-art simulation experiences with immersive clinical skills experiences in our standardized patient encounters, allowing students to develop and improve their diagnostic and clinical skills and patient care abilities, all with the supervision, guidance and feedback of outstanding faculty and experienced medical professionals.
