The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix offers an early assurance pathway for eligible undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
Through the PHXMED Distinguished Learners Early Assurance Program (PHXMED LEAP), eligible students may apply for conditional admission to the College of Medicine – Phoenix during their junior year of undergraduate study.
About the Program
PHXMED LEAP is designed for highly motivated Honors students who are committed to pursuing a career in medicine. Applicants are considered through a holistic review process. The College of Medicine – Phoenix looks for applicants who demonstrate academic achievement, previous healthcare and clinical exposure, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and personal attributes aligned with the college's values, including Compassion, Character, Collaboration, Commitment to Learn and Cultivating Service.
Students accepted to the program receive conditional admission to the College of Medicine – Phoenix. Final matriculation is contingent upon successful completion of the applicable undergraduate graduation requirements, College of Medicine – Phoenix prerequisite requirements and other program requirements.
