Application Process
All medical students will receive information about the Research COD during orientation and ITM. Students accepted into the U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix with an interest in research are eligible to apply, but they must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Applicants must apply to the Research COD by December 15th of their first academic year.
- Applicants are not required to have a research mentor, project, or prior research experience at the time of application. The program is designed to support students at all levels of research experience.
- Applications will be reviewed by the Research COD Program Director to determine eligibility.
- Prospective applicants may request a meeting with the Research COD Program Director and current COD students to learn more about the program, however, it is not required for acceptance.
- Final admission decisions and acceptance notifications will be sent to students after Winter Break of the applicant’s first academic year.
