Overview

The Neurocircuits and Behavior Core (NBC) provides state-of-the-art equipment and resources to support the comprehensive assessment of cognitive, sensory, motor, and affective behavior in preclinical models. To complement these capabilities, the core offers an extensive suite of advanced technologies for in vivo monitoring and manipulation of neural activity in behaving subjects.

The core also provides access to precision digital stereotactic surgery systems for accurate targeting and manipulation of specific brain regions, as well as advanced microscopy and histology platforms for high-resolution imaging and analysis of neural structures and connectivity.
Furthermore, the core is equipped with advanced video tracking software and high-performance workstations, facilitating comprehensive data analysis and quantification of behavioral parameters.

Our mission is to support researchers in integrating neural circuit dynamics with behavioral outcomes to foster a comprehensive understanding of brain function.
