Our one-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship provides immersive, hands-on training in a wide array of advanced endoscopic procedures. Fellows gain extensive exposure and training a wide variety of advanced procedures:
- EUS including AXIOS cystgastrostomy, gallbladder drainage, liver biopsy, EUS-directed transgastric ERCP, coil embolization of gastric varices.
- ERCP, cholangioscopy, electrohydraulic lithotripsy, ampullectomy, pancreatic ERCP.
- Barrett’s esophagus treatment including EMR and ablation.
- EMR.
- Enteral stent placement.
- Overstitch including transoral outlet reduction (TORe).
- Per-oral endoscopy myotomy for achalasia, zenker’s diverticulum, and gastroparesis.
- Tranoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF).
Annually, our endoscopy unit performs approximately 800 ERCPs and 800 EUS procedures, ensuring ample procedural volume for comprehensive training.
The fellowship is structured to maximize exposure to advanced endoscopic techniques. Fellows dedicate four days per week to advanced endoscopy and one day to independent general GI procedures. As the sole fellow, you will receive personalized mentorship from our experienced faculty, fostering a focused and in-depth educational experience. In addition to procedural training, the fellow participates in multidisciplinary conferences — including hepatobiliary tumor boards, journal clubs and faculty-led didactic sessions — to enhance their clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Our program is designed to cultivate the next generation of interventional endoscopists, equipping them with the skills and expertise necessary to excel in both academic and high-volume clinical settings.
