Coffee, Consultation, and Collaboration Series

Hear directly from awardees, Hongyu Qiu, MD, PhD & Timothy Marlowe, PhD, as they present the progress, outcomes, challenges, and future directions of their funded projects. The session will highlight how these projects are advancing toward translation and commercialization of biomedical research discoveries. 

The session will use a joint presentation and discussion format, with both awardees sharing their funded projects and experiences. Particular emphasis will be placed on their translational journey—from scientific discovery toward drug development and commercialization—including anticipated next steps, potential challenges, and their vision for advancing their technologies.

The goal is to provide a real-world view of how investigators begin thinking beyond a scientific discovery and navigate the path toward translation and commercialization.
