University of Arizona Primary Care Scholarship Program

The UArizona Primary Care Scholarship Program was established by the Arizona Legislature in 2019 to help address the urgent need for physicians within the state by covering the tuition associated with medical education for those willing, in exchange, to practice primary care in a rural or urban underserved community in Arizona.

Armed Forces Health Profession Scholarship Program

This program can provide full funding for tuition, fees, and reimbursement of all mandatory expenses in addition to a living expense stipend. In repayment for each year of assistance, after completion of residency training (military or civilian), you serve as a practicing physician/officer in your branch of the military (minimum of three-year commitment).

National Health Service Corps (NHSC)

The National Health Service Corps offers both a Scholarship Program and a Loan Repayment Program.

The Scholarship Program offers students pursuing primary care careers to receive a scholarship for serving communities in need upon graduation and completion of training. The scholarship pays tuition, fees, other educational costs and provides a living stipend in return for a commitment to work at an NHSC- approved site in a medically underserved community.

The Loan Repayment Program offers primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers the opportunity to have their student loans repaid, while earning a competitive salary, in exchange for providing health care in urban, rural, or frontier communities with limited access to care.
