- EEG and Epilepsy didactic lecture series: Designed specifically for fellows in order to provide critical knowledge during the first month each academic year.
- EEG case review sessions: Interesting and difficult EEG cases are discussed once a month.
- EMU Surgery Conference: Potential surgical patients are discussed with multidisciplinary team once a week to review the surgical candidacy, surgical modality, treatment history, EEG/EMU findings, and imaging findings. Many of these cases will be presented by fellows
- Epilepsy Journal club: Interesting new articles in clinical and neurophysiological research articles are discussed twice a month. One session is at an off-site venue during dinner time. Articles will be discussed mainly by epileptologists in the Phoenix region from several different institutes. The second session is specifically designed for BUMCP epilepsy fellows.
- EEG reading sessions: As a part of residency and fellowship training, live EEG reading session is held twice a month throughout the year. It is also an opportunity for epilepsy fellows to teach residents as they are expected to lead the session at least six times per year.
- Neurology grand rounds: Lecture are provided by various guest lecturers who are experts in their field twice a month.
- AES Annual Meetings: Fellows will be funded to attend the American Epilepsy Society annual meeting. Within the meeting they will receive lectures from nationally recognized specialists in their field.
