2025 Application and Interview Update

Interviews will be either in-person or virtual October 2025 - January 2026. Applicants should choose their preferred interview format. The program does not favor either in-person or virtual options and will not change ranking based on which approach an applicant selects. In-person interviews will include evening in-person time with residents. Virtual resident meet and greets will be available for those not traveling to Phoenix.

Most interview offers will be sent by October 17th. We will not offer more interviews than we have slots available.

An optional second-look visit will be available in person in January 2026 for interviewed applicants. Participation in an in-person second look will not impact ranking.

We will use program signals as part of a holistic review process to determine interviews. We will follow the AAMC’s guidance regarding signaling:  “The AAMC suggests applicants signal their most interested programs regardless of whether they are home (programs) or away rotations.”

Applicants who completed med school outside the U.S.

  • Successful completion of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG®) or Test of English as a Foreing Language (TOEFL®) proficiency test.
