Healthcare Leadership in Medicine - Requirements for Admission

Application Process

All medical students will receive information about the HLM COD during orientation and ITM. Students accepted into the U of A College of Medicine – Phoenix with an interest in leadership are eligible to apply, but they must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Applicants must apply to the Healthcare Leadership in Medicine COD by the published deadline during their first academic year.
• Applicants must email supplemental material, including a statement of interest and a CV, to Hannah Armenta at @email
• Applications will be reviewed by COD leadership to determine eligibility, program fit, and COD capacity.
• Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview with COD leadership as part of the admissions process.
• Final admission decisions and acceptance notifications will be sent to students after application review and interviews are complete. Students enter the COD during their first year.
• Each class is expected to include five students unless COD leadership approves an exception.
• Students must remain in good academic and professional standing and meet all expectations of the College of Medicine – Phoenix to enter and remain in the COD.
