The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Information Technology Services team is committed to creating and delivering an environment that promotes and advances teaching, learning and research. Working collaboratively and cooperatively across organizational boundaries we design, implement and support a wide variety of solutions that improve and streamline operations and meets the needs of our multi-University student, faculty and staff population.

Information Technology (IT) provides end user support, including installation, configuration, training and management for over 900 desktop/mobile devices. The PBC Help Desk is used for receiving, tracking and resolving service requests for the campus and is managed by the IT team. Through our partnerships with the University Information Technology Services (UITS) and the University Information Security offices, the campus network infrastructure (data and VoIP) are supported, secured and managed. Additional IT services and support for the College of Medicine – Phoenix include server and storage administration and research computing support.

Instructional Technology (IS) provides concierge instructional technology support for academic sessions, administrative meetings and special events throughout campus classrooms, library study rooms, shared meeting spaces and specialized labs. In addition to overseeing 180+ shared spaces on the PBC, the Instructional Technology department delivers, troubleshoots and supports shared campus resources ranging from conferencing systems (over audio, video and web), testing-laptop carts and podcasting or recording support over various platforms. The IS team also provides in-depth training opportunities on a wide variety of collaborative tools and web conferencing solutions available to all campus partners. Since 2015, the Instructional Technology department has made a large impact with UA stakeholders in designing and developing collaborative spaces, and acting as a full-service liaison for all new construction and renovation to shared space at the PBC. Full consultation is provided in partnership with the Planning Design and Construction team to create an innovative learning environment that advances the mission of the University.

- In the interest of notification speed for campus-wide IT issues, a new voluntary outages listserv has been set up. Sign up at @email. This list will be used for notification of large-scale issues with IT services that are affecting multiple users across the campus.
