Our Mission

The mission of the Interventional Psychiatry Fellowship is to train the next generation of interventional psychiatrists to provide compassionate, evidence-based and individualized care for patients with complex and treatment-resistant psychiatric illness. Through advanced clinical training in neuromodulation and innovative therapeutics, multidisciplinary collaboration, rigorous scholarship, quality improvement and education, the fellowship prepares physicians to become skilled clinicians, thoughtful consultants, educators, investigators and leaders in the evolving field of interventional psychiatry.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a leading interventional psychiatry training program in the Southwest that advances clinical excellence, expands access to evidence-based interventional treatments and develops future leaders in neuromodulation, innovative therapeutics, research and psychiatric education.

Core Principles

The fellowship should communicate five themes consistently across the website and recruitment material:

  • Clinical excellence
  • Individualized treatment selection
  • Scientific inquiry
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Leadership through education and innovation
