The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program is excited to continue the transformation of our remarkable institution from Banner Good Samaritan to the University of Arizona at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. The core strength for our residency training program remains alive and well, while our city, university and hospital system are making strides by leaps and bounds. The residency program graduated its first physician in 1962 and is currently graduating nine residents per year.
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix opened in 2007 and became fully accredited in 2017. Countless years of hard work and planning took place well before the doors officially opened, and our work continues to build upon the innovation and visionary leadership that helped put it into place. With that, we are seeing the development and expansion of our clinical services into an inclusive model of collaboration between UA's researchers, academic leaders and clinical faculty. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our fellows, as they will impact the direction of the program for years to come.
