Mission Statement
The mission of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Internal Medicine Residency Program at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center is to provide a personalized educational experience where high-functioning teams deliver compassionate, innovative, and highly reliable care, enhancing the health of individual patients and the community we serve within a culture of inclusive excellence.
Our residency program offers excellent academic community training for residents interested in primary care or specialty practice within internal medicine (IM). We integrate the strengths of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix with the cutting-edge health care delivery system of Banner Health in the West Valley of Greater Phoenix. Together, we train physicians for healthy communities!
The residency is divided into four houses, creating smaller communities within the program. Each house cares for a panel of patients in high-functioning teams with individualized education and mentorship from faculty, staff, and interdisciplinary professionals.
