Short Bio
Andreia Z. Chignalia is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil. She graduated from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Sao Paulo and then continued on to obtain her PhD in Pharmacology at University of Sao Paulo. She completed an international fellowship in experimental hypertension as a graduate student at the University of Ottawa, Canada and a postdoctoral international fellowship in lung permeability at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research interests focus on the mechanisms that contribute to the development of cardiovascular diseases.
Research Interests
Cardiovascular diseases, acute lung injury, oxidative stress, mechanosensing, glycobiology.
