What We Expect from You

  • Authorship: When a biostatistician provides any meaningful intellectual contribution to the formulation of a research question/hypothesis, the analysis plan, or the actual analysis for a research paper or presentation/poster, it is expected that the biostatistician will be offered co-authorship. If the statistical analysis is a major part of the publication and the biostatistician performs the full statistical analysis and drafts the statistical methods and the results section, it is generally expected that he or she will be the second author.

  • Grant: When a biostatistician provides meaningful contribution to a grant and statistical expertise is needed in the proposed research, it is generally expected that a percentage of the biostatistician’s effort is included in the grant proposal.

  • End of project requirements: Please notify us of any presentations, posters, papers, reports, or grant submissions resulting from our work.
