  1. Define bacterial vaginosis (BV)
  2. Review the history of BV pathogenesis research
  3. Review current hypothetical models for BV pathogenesis
  4. Discuss current and ongoing BV pathogenesis research studies
  5. Discuss male partner treatment to prevent recurrence of BV in women
