Seminar Title

  • Fungal exposure: a neglected “E” in the Gene-Environment (GxE) interaction research

Objectives

  1. Identify fungal exposure as a neglected environmental factor in GxE research.
  2. Explain how fungi contribute to pulmonary diseases (such as asthma and valley fever) via host–pathogen interactions.
  3. Discuss mechanisms linking fungal exposure to genotoxicity and lung cancer.
