Seminar Title

  • TRPV1 Channel Mediated Remote Ischemic Preconditioning (RIPC) Signaling Implications for patients with and at risk for myocardial infarction.

Objectives

  1. Understand the mechanisms underlying RIPC
  2. Understand the limitations of bringing RIPC to the bedside
  3. Recognize the role of TRPV1 channels in mediating the RIPC response
  4. Explain how stimulating TRPV1 may result in clinical application of RIPC in patients.
