Every third Tuesday of the month — from 12PM to 1PM Arizona MST — we bring in local leaders and researchers in informatics to address current trends and directions that can potentially impact health care delivery. Our Grand Rounds are presented throughout the year.

- Title: Clinical Decision Support for Imaging Orders: Journey from CMS Mandate to Future State
Dennis Swearingen, MD is currently Senior Director for Physician Informatics at Banner Health. In this role, he provides enterprise-wide Informatics leadership for system initiatives via expertise in the areas of population health, clinical research, digital therapeutics, and clinical decision support. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
As a Chicago-area native and fan, Dr. Swearingen stayed local for undergrad at Northwestern University and med school at Loyola University Chicago. Finally taking a break from the cold winters, he moved to sunny Arizona for a Family Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale.
