With rising temperatures and heat-related deaths in Maricopa County exceeding 400 for the last three years, now — more than ever — we must find ways to "Beat the Heat." Consequently, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix created this digital series to showcase all the cutting-edge research, technologies and techniques that our medical institution is spearheading to help people stay safe.

In this episode of Clips, we interviewed Nimit Agarwal, MD — director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix — about his work on new and innovative ways to help offset heat impact in elderly adults. In addition, we asked Dr. Agarwal about why it is so important to try and stay safe through the summer months.
