Haley Hochstein, DO


Medical School: Midwestern University 
Residency Training: University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix 
Areas of academic interest: newborn care, women’s health, caring for hospitalized patients, public health, behavioral health in primary care.
Brief Bio: Dr. Hochstein is originally from Maryland where she was born and raised. She studied at both Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University before moving to Arizona in 2018 to pursue medical training. During her medical training, she cultivated an interest in academic medicine and medical education. She served as chief resident at UACOM-P with her fellow co-faculty member, Dr. Voy. She is excited to help foster an inclusive training environment with opportunities for community engagement here at Banner Desert Family Medicine.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Adam and their two dogs, exploring Arizona, and spending time outdoors working on her garden. 

Albert Hsia, DO
Albert Hsia, DO

Residency: Mountain Vista Medical Center – Family Medicine 
Areas of Interest: Preventative medicine, community oriented primary care
Brief Bio: Dr. Albert Hsia is an Arizona native with a strong passion for preventative medicine and clinical education. He served as Chief Resident during his family medicine residency at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona and practices locally at Banner Health Center. He enjoys teaching medical students from his Alma Mater and A. T. Still University. Dr. Hsia enjoys spending time with his family, trail running, and aviation.

Residency: Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix Family Medicine Residency
Areas of Interest: Geriatric medicine, inpatient medicine, hospice, and palliative care
Brief Bio: As a lifelong Arizona resident, Dr. Hunt is thrilled to be involved in the Banner Desert Family Medicine Residency! During her career, she has worked primarily as a hospitalist across multiple hospital systems. She has also worked seeing geriatric patients at an assisted living facility,  worked as a hospice medical director, and participated in non-clinical work as a physician advisor and teaching clinical skills to medical students. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Christian, their daughter Emma, and their dog Winston. 

Jafreen Sadeque, MD, MSJafreen Sadeque, MD, MS

Residency Training: Family Medicine, Community Hospital East, Indianapolis, IN 
Fellowship Training: Surgical Obstetrics, Natividad Medical Center, Salinas, CA​​​​​​​
Areas of academic interest: Medical education, full-spectrum family medicine, rural and urban underserved communities, native american health, obstetrics, substance use disorders, and trauma recovery
Brief Bio: Dr. Sadeque enjoys helping learners and patients achieve their dreams. She is excited to join College of Medicine – Phoenix Desert Family Medicine Residency and lead their women’s health curriculum, which matches her own dreams: to train physicians and decrease maternity care deserts in the Southwest. Dr. Sadeque previously served as residency faculty at Community Hospital East, practiced full-spectrum family medicine in Indianapolis and rural New Mexico, and completed a surgical obstetrics fellowship at Natividad Medical Center. As part of her commitment to safe and holistic care, she has created programs to treat substance use disorders and served on safety committees of both large and small hospitals (5,000 vs 100 annual deliveries). Dr. Sadeque knows firsthand the power of family physicians to transform communities and is excited to train doctors to meet the needs of diverse patients. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, and browsing hardware stores in hopes of becoming a crafter of fine wooden furniture someday.

Ciara Voy, MD, MSCiara Voy, MD, MS


Medical School: Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine – Phoenix 
Residency Training: University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix 
Areas of academic interest: organized medicine, advocacy, inpatient and outpatient medicine, office-based procedures
Brief Bio: Dr. Voy studied Environmental Science at Duke University and has an MS from ASU in the Science of Healthcare Delivery. She loves being a family medicine physician in Arizona and is excited to help train new family medicine doctors. Her other professional interests include organized medicine and advocacy. She has been a Vot-ER Civic Health Fellow, a resident member of the AzAFP Board of Directors, an AzAFP Health Policy Scholar, and a member of the AAFP Commission on Federal and State Policy. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new foods and spending time with family, friends, and dogs.
