Amita Alexander, MD

Residency: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas
Areas of Interest: Rural medicine, family medicine - out patient medicine, dermatology, women’s health, mental health, preventive care and office procedures
Brief Bio: Dr Alexander is a Board-Certified Family Physician with over twenty years of extremely
varied experiences in the field of medicine. During this time Dr Alexander has enjoyed
working in different types of Health Care Models. Her passion continues to be full-spectrum family medicine (without OB) and finds sharing medical knowledge with young trainee minds extremely fulfilling. When not immersed in medicine, she is an avid reader of fiction and travels the world extensively with her likeminded young daughter.

Albert Hsia, DO
Albert Hsia, DO

Residency: Mountain Vista Medical Center – Family Medicine 
Areas of Interest: Preventative medicine, community oriented primary care
Brief Bio: Dr. Albert Hsia is an Arizona native with a strong passion for preventative medicine and clinical education. He served as Chief Resident during his family medicine residency at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona and practices locally at Banner Health Center. He enjoys teaching medical students from his Alma Mater and A. T. Still University. Dr. Hsia enjoys spending time with his family, trail running, and aviation.

Residency: Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix Family Medicine Residency
Areas of Interest: Geriatric medicine, inpatient medicine, hospice, and palliative care
Brief Bio: As a lifelong Arizona resident, Dr. Hunt is thrilled to be involved in the Banner Desert Family Medicine Residency! During her career, she has worked primarily as a hospitalist across multiple hospital systems. She has also worked seeing geriatric patients at an assisted living facility,  worked as a hospice medical director, and participated in non-clinical work as a physician advisor and teaching clinical skills to medical students. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Christian, their daughter Emma, and their dog Winston.

Doris Ngemasong Menekeng C., MD

Residency Training: Pontiac General Hospital/Wayne State University (Pontiac, Michigan)
Areas of Academic/Clinical Interest: I am passionate about teaching and research and aspires to be a leader for family medicine
Brief Bio: Dr. Menekeng is a board-certified family physician with over ten years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, treating patients across all age groups and with a wide range of health conditions. She has a MPH from UNC Chapel Hill.  As a servant leader, Dr. Menekeng serves on multiple hospital committees and is engaged in community outreach initiatives. During residency, she earned multiple accolades including Outstanding Resident of the Year and Best Research Scholar and graduated medical school with high honors. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with my family. She is also a Clinical Associate Faculty member with the University of Arizona School of Medicine.

Yuliya Vakulchik, DOYuliya Vakulchik, DO

Residency: Family Medicine at Mountain Vista Medical Center
Areas of Interest: Preventive medicine, patient education
Brief Bio: She is a mother of two boys and loves her role as a primary care provider. In her free time, she enjoys growing plants and exploring the world with her children and husband. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing growth in those she mentors and working with residents, where they can learn and grow together.
