Why the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: I chose this program for its unique geriatric hospitalist experience that is the ACE unit. I love the incorporation of specialized geriatric care in hospitalist medicine which I was able to experience firsthand as a resident rotating through this hospital. Also, graduating from a rural community hospital setting, I am also able to see the different pathology and unique patient management that U of A sees as a large academic center in the middle of downtown Phoenix
Hobbies and Personal Interests: Swimming, volleyball, video games.

Research/Clinical Interests: Clinical practice in both the outpatient and inpatient setting, with the possibility of academic geriatrics
Why the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: I chose this program for its diverse training sites--not only across two healthcare systems (Banner and VA), but also in the setting of inpatient/community, rehab, palliative, and hospice practices. I also had the chance to rotate in BUMC's Acute Care of the Elderly unit during my IM residency and had a wonderful, rewarding experience.
Hobbies and Personal Interests: Knitting, crocheting, and all manner of fiber arts and crafts.

Why the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: Having worked in Private practice for the last 20 years, recently I started working with residents of the Del Webb Internal Medicine Program.
This made me more interested in geriatrics, especially the Acute care of the Elderly (ACE Unit). I hope to use the skills in strengthening my Transitional care Medicine and post acute space
