Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix is a nationally recognized academic medical center. The world-class hospital is focused on coordinated clinical care, expanded research activities and nurturing future generations of highly trained medical professionals who serve the community.

The Phoenix campus, long known for excellent patient care, is the new home for medical discoveries, thanks to our collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Patients with the most complex to the most common medical conditions seek us out for care. Moms-to-be from across the country choose to deliver babies at Banner – UMC Phoenix because of our expertise in high-risk obstetrics care, including multiple births. Our Transplant Services Team saves thousands of lives each year with our advancements in caring for patients needing life-saving organ transplants and our Stroke Center makes a difference in the lives of patients with diseases, disorders and injuries of the brain, spine and nervous system.

Banner Boswell Medical Center

Banner Boswell Medical Center is a primarily adult/geriatric-focused 319-bed facility with special emphasis in geriatric clinical training through the Inpatient Geriatric Service and rehabilitation service.

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center is a primarily adult/geriatric-focused hospital facility (404 beds) with special emphasis in geriatric psychiatry. The training program includes involvement in the ARISE (Chemical Dependency Program) and SAGE (Support Adaptation Growth Enrichment Program) units. The latter is a combined medical-psychiatric unit.

Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care System

The Phoenix VA Health Care System — comprised of the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Affairs Medical Center and seven clinics — is categorized as a Clinical Referral Level 1 facility. The VA Medical Center provides acute medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient care, as well as rehabilitation medicine and neurological care to the more than 322,002 Veterans who reside in the facility's primary service area.

Hospice of the Valley

Founded in 1977, Hospice of the Valley is recognized nationally as a leader in hospice care. Students are instructed on the facets of palliative care within the Hospice of the Valley system, which strives to bring comfort and dignity as life nears its end, working with patients and families.

Banner Alzheimer's Institute

Banner Alzheimer's Institute (BAI) is a nationally recognized, NIA-funded research facility. It is located on the Banner – UMC Phoenix campus and is setting a new standard of care that provides ongoing hope and help for people with dementia and their families. Researchers at BAI envision, direct and analyze studies that scientists throughout the world regard as pivotal.
