Why Arizona and UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix: The decision to choose the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix came easily to me. I had the opportunity during residency to work with the geriatric psychiatry teams at the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute and the Phoenix VA. The mentorship, encouragement, support, opportunities, rewarding challenges and education I received during this time solidified my desire to apply. I had no doubt that I would see the same characteristics in the fellowship. It truly is a privilege to work with older adults and their families, with the mutual goal to optimize their quality of life. I am confident I will get the best training here to help my future patients attain this goal.
