Selection Criteria
We have a holistic process for reviewing all ERAS applications. New this year, we will be using signals as part of our interview selection process. We want to encourage applicants that have a significant interest in interviewing with our program to utilize a signal and increase the likelihood of receiving an invitation to interview. Though we are electing to use program signals as part of our holistic review process, please know that program signals do not guarantee an interview. While we preferentially review applications from those who signal our program, we also consider applicants who do not signal us. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are committed to their own excellence; people who prioritize their own wellness and the well-being of our Med-Peds Community.
Interested candidates will need to create an account with the Electronic Residency Application Service (“ERAS”) program from the Association of American Medical Colleges (“AAMC”). Candidates can access the ERAS program by visiting AAMC FREIDA, program code: 7000314001.
We Require:
- Application to be submitted through ERAS.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation (ideally at least one letter from Adult medicine and one from Pediatric medicine, Chair letters are not required).
- All ERAS applications are reviewed holistically incorporating experiences in leadership, advocacy, and research with academic performance.
