Hospice of the Valley
Hospice of the Valley is the leading provider of hospice care, serving more than 23,000 patients and families in 2023. Their care teams provide compassionate care in the comfort of home, relieving symptoms and addressing the patient’s medical, emotional and spiritual needs. As one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit hospices, Hospice of the Valley's mission has remained constant since being founded in 1977: Bringing comfort, dignity and compassionate care to our community.
No one is ever turned away, regardless of insurance status or financial means. Service have expanded beyond hospice care. Hospice of the Valley now helps those with serious, chronic illness, as well as people at all stages of dementia; assists those transitioning from hospital to home; provides pediatric and perinatal programs to support medically fragile children; offers massage, aromatherapy, music and pet visits to improve quality of life; utilizes bilingual care teams to serve Spanish speakers; instructs medical students on the facets of palliative and hospice care.
In addition, Hospice of the Valley offers no-cost community programs, such as grief support, senior placement services and help with living wills, and is the only hospice that provides 24/7 phone support with a nurse to support families every step of the way.
