There are several institutions in Phoenix with which the UArizona College of Medicine – Phoenix is affiliated that contribute to a large and diverse basic, translational and preclinical neuroscience community. These include Banner – University Medical Center-Phoenix, Arizona State University, Barrow Neurological Institute, Valleywise Health, Phoenix Children’s, St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Northern Arizona University and Phoenix Veteran’s Administration Health Care System. This group of institutions, together with the larger University of Arizona campus in Tucson, comprises an unparalleled collaborative research community — bringing together hospitals, community physicians, centers, institutes, departments and foundations to conduct state-of-the-art neuroscience research.
