Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, formerly Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, is a nationally recognized academic medical center. The Phoenix campus, long known for excellent patient care, is the new home for medical discoveries, thanks to our collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. The world-class hospital is focused on coordinated clinical care, collaborative research activities and nurturing future generations of highly trained medical professionals who serve the community. Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix serves as a tertiary referral center for metropolitan Phoenix and treats the highest levels of acuity. It provides 705 beds with L&D, Level III NICU, medical and surgical ICUs. There are multiple specialty programs, including for abnormally invasive placentation, critical care in obstetrics and fetal therapy. Additional sites include Banner Cardon Children’s Hospital, where fellows may rotate with pediatric cardiology, genetics or in an area of interest.

Cardon Children's Medical Center

Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, is the pediatric hospital of Banner Desert Medical Center. The state-of-the-art facility features 206 beds, specially trained nurses and doctors and family-centered care. Cardon Children’s Medical Center was designed “Through the Eyes of a Child,” meaning it has all the comforts of home and does not feel institutional. The hospital is meant to inspire healing, learning and imagination. Animal shapes placed in the floor provide a way-finding system to get around the hospital and play areas replace waiting areas.

The medical center is served by specially educated clinicians. All of its clinical staff have pediatric-specific experience, and they are excellent in providing care and services to children.

Phoenix Perinatal Associates is a growing team of maternal-fetal, neonatal specialists and a developmental pediatrician who care for high-risk pregnant women and premature or critically ill newborns.
