Announcements

  • The 2025 Banner Academic Annual Review (BAAR) is complete. Faculty can access their final evaluation by logging into BAAR: https://clinicaldossier.phoenixmed.arizona.edu/login.
  • Thomas Nau, PhD, will join the Department of Orthopaedics as the vice chair of research, effective August 17.
  • Benjamin Fedeles, MD, will join the Department of Anesthesiology as the chief for the Division of Critical Care Medicine, effective August 17.
  • Joshua Bloomstone, MD, will join the Department of Anesthesiology as the vice chair of faculty affairs & ethics, effective August 3.
  • Aaron Joffe, MD, will join the Department of Anesthesiology as the vice chair of clinical affairs, effective July 20.
  • Amal Isaiah, MD, PhD, will join as the inaugural chair for the Department of Otolaryngology, effective July 20.
  • Niraj Chavan, MD, will join the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology as the chief for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics, effective June 8.
  • Jennifer Anger, MD, MPH, will join as the inaugural chair for the Department of Urology, effective May 26.
  • Kristian Schafernak, MD, has been appointed as the chair for the Department of Pathology, effective April 27.
  • Peipei Ping, PhD, has been appointed as the chair for the Department of Biomedical Informatics, effective March 2.
  • Iannis Adamopoulus, PhD, joined the Department of Internal Medicine as the vice chair of research, effective February 2.
  • Ruth Franks Snedecor, MD, has been appointed as assistant dean for Graduate Medicial Education, effective February 2.
  • Ekokobe Fonkem, DO, joined the Department of Neurology as the vice chair of research, effective January 5.
  • Abha Singh, MD, joined the Department of Internal Medicine as the chief for the Division of Rheumatology, effective January 5.
  • The next deadline to submit your clinical promotion dossier to your faculty coordinator is September 1, 2026 (effective date of July 1, 2027).
