Part-Time Employment Opportunities
The following part-time opportunities are open to Banner – University Medical Group faculty:
- Case Based Instruction (CBI) Facilitator (estimated 0.10 FTE).
- Clinical Skills Evaluator, Doctoring (0.03 to 0.18 FTE).
- Longitudinal Active Learning Facilitator (0.05 FTE).
Announcements
- We have confirmed with the UArizona HIPAA Compliance office that they will accept the Banner HIPAA training to satisfy the UArizona HIPAA training requirement. Banner Health will provide training certifications for all Banner – UMG faculty. No additional action is needed by Banner – UMG faculty.
- The new Banner – UMG academic annual review is required for all Banner – UMG faculty. The faculty submission period is complete. Chairs and chiefs will have until May 31 to complete their evaluations of their faculty. Contact your faculty coordinator if you have any questions.
- Christian Nasr, MD, has joined the college and Banner – UMG as the new chief for the Division of Endocrinology, Internal Medicine. He started his role on May 16.
- Farah Husain, MD, will join the college and Banner – UMG as the new chief for the Division of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, Surgery. She will assume her role on July 1.
- Making the Rounds is a podcast available via Spotify. Listen to experts from Banner Health talk about important medical topics.
Recent Promotions
The following Banner – UMG faculty received a faculty title promotion:
- Heather Bartz, DO, was promoted on May 5 to clinical associate professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Shane Daley, MD, was promoted on April 7 to clinical associate professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Surgery.
- Debra Wickman, MD, was promoted on March 3 to clinical associate professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Radha Gopalan, MD, was promoted on February 3 to clinical professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Internal Medicine.
- Nichole Mahnert, MD, was promoted on February 3 to clinical associate professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Michael Morris, MD, was promoted on February 3 to clinical associate professor on the clinical series track in the Department of Radiology.
