2023 Health Professions HEED Award Field Guide

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix won a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award – presented annually to institutions that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion – for its participation in the Anti-Racism Transformation in Medical Education initiative and for adopting an anti-racism curriculum that continues to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion topics throughout students' four years of training.

Founded in 2007, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix inspires and trains exemplary physicians, scientists and leaders to optimize health and health care in Arizona and beyond. By cultivating collaborative research locally and globally, the college accelerates discovery in a number of critical areas — including cancer, stroke, traumatic brain injury and cardiovascular disease.
