Ankit H. Shah, MD, MBA

Residency Program Director, Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology Residency  

Dr. Ankit H. Shah graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 2012 and trained in diagnostic radiology at the private practice/academic hybrid residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After graduating in 2017, he moved to the Southwest for his fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.

He has served in leadership positions and been involved in teaching while in training since the onset of his career, starting off as section chief of the Department of Interventional Radiology at Valleywise Health (formerly Maricopa Medical Center) and subsequently the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.

He currently holds appointments as clinical assistant professor at the college, as well as at Creighton University Medical Center – Phoenix. He recently obtained his MBA from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, and is now proud to be building a new dynamic team to provide high level care to Arizona’s veterans and teach incoming interventional radiologists as the new program director of the Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology Residency here at the College of Medicine – Phoenix.
