The UA College of Medicine – Phoenix Cardiology Fellowship consists of 36 months. Each month provides time for separate rotations. Outpatient clinics are mandated for one half-day per week and experience is divided between the Phoenix VA Medical Center, Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix and other faculty clinics. In addition, on average, there are seven hours of formal weekly conferences.
- ECG conference “Big Board,” tests/board review questions, cardiac cath conference, CT Angiogram reading sessions and general cardiology lectures (hemodynamics, congenital heart disease, biostatistics, journal club article review, current guidelines, nuclear cardiology, M&M, pacemakers, electrophysiology, cardiovascular surgery, medical ethics, cardiac MRI, heart failure).
- Monthly didactics:
- Journal Club, Board Review, Imaging and Echo conference. Grand Rounds occur every quarter.
