The mission of this clerkship is to provide medical students with an appreciation and understanding of pediatrics through an excellent clinical and educational experience, while fostering the development of more complete and compassionate physicians.
The Pediatric Clerkship is a four-week clerkship experience that is divided into two-week inpatient and two-week outpatient experiences. Students are expected to achieve a level of responsibility in the clinical setting appropriate for a two-year clerk including: independent data gathering, critical assessment of the data and communication with other health professionals, as well as demonstrate professional behavior.
